My vacuum hose kept falling out of the handle. After this happened 4-5 times I taped my hose to tighten the fit and it worked. until I unplugged it to use another mount and the tubing didn't fit on anything else while the tape was on. I had to peel off the tape. A few days later I went back to the handle and was annoyed that the handle fell off the hose again. Eventually I looked closely at the handle being slid into my hose and noticed that the very edge of the handle was sticking out where the insertion hole was and hit the edge of my hose and my hose didn't go all the way . I very carefully trimmed the small piece of plastic that was preventing a good connection to the chisel (I would recommend a file or sandpaper instead of a chisel). After the plastic was cut, my tubing connected very securely.
