This valve assembly indeed serves as replacement inlet water valve for many brand dishwashers, and at a very fair price. The 5w solenoid/coil was factory installed, so I had to swap to the supplied 10w solenoid for my 23 yo Whirlpool. (An OEM replacement is no longer available). The install was possible while the dishwasher remained under counter.Unfortunately, I also have another problem and will have to remove the dishwasher to resolve, so I can not yet evaluate this valve's performance, and why I cannot rate higher. When I can finalize repair, I would expect to increase the rating to a 5 star.
