They're a bit pricey, but every pad counts. I think if you're going to spend $800-$1000 on a mechanical vacuum mounted sander, why save on sanding pads? This is how you sand walls and ceilings easily and almost dust-free. What a blessing after years of swallowing miles of drywall dust, not to mention bright eyes and angry customers. The Porter Cable Sander comes with one of these in the box, by the way, and it's a 150 grit, which is a good all-purpose grit, cuts quickly but won't damage the paper.
