This post is on the shorter side, but as-is it works great for our 6-month old kitten.

We were able to train him on the post with treats, and it's light enough to carry around to different spots easily. I would especially recommend this as a backup / second option - like to keep in your closet upstairs with another post downstairs.Neither of our cats has fully caught onto the grooming tool yet (it's been about three weeks), but we'll keep working on it!
