Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Compact and Ultra Quiet ZHENGXOO Small Dehumidifier - 42oz (1200ml) - Ideal for Home, Basements, Bedroom, Bathroom, Garage, Wardrobe, RV - Covers 2100 Cubic Feet (260 sq ft) by Nicole Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The dryer unit works mostly as expected, the power button seems unreliable.

It's four and a half stars but I've rounded up to four because I'm too patient with electronics while many users get frustrated earlier. As soon as the device is switched on, it starts to work. The fan is audible, and if the humidity at the installation site increases, the tank will begin to fill. This device is not designed for large rooms, although it will work in any room. The size of the device alone means that in small spaces (closets, small bathrooms, etc.) the device really makes a noticeable difference, while in larger areas you might not notice a difference as it can't keep up. . many cubic meters of free air. For small rooms, this type of device (controlled by a Peltier module inside) makes sense. For larger rooms, the power draw of this unit is extremely inefficient compared to larger floor standing compressors or whole-house units. The manufacturer's statement on the size of the room seems quite optimistic. I assume it works best in rooms about half the size. I didn't let the tank fill completely to test the float switch, which should automatically turn it off to prevent flooding. A manual movement of the float indicates that it should function normally. Earlier I said that as soon as the block lights up, it starts working. The most interesting thing is that sometimes it takes some perseverance to make it work! The power switch of this ZHENGXOO dehumidifier seems unreliable. After pressing the switch several times, it finally lights up. So far it has never refused to turn on. in summary. Also, when emptying the water trap chamber, you must be careful to fully reinsert it so that the safety switch (which prevents operation without the water trap chamber in place) is activated sufficiently for the unit to function. . After reinstalling, I found that it might be necessary to power cycle the device for it to actually turn on. It looks like there is either a fan on delay or the power cord is loose as the wobbling also contributed to the unit turning on in one case. Someday I'll probably clarify that. and double check all cables to make sure everything is soldered/connected correctly and fully secure. It's now working and sucking water out of the air, which is why it deserves its four stars.
