Dehumidifier is pretty good. It should turn itself off when the tank is full. Mine turned itself off and when I checked the tank wasn't even half full. I emptied the tank and put it back in the block and it didn't catch fire. I tried for several minutes and nothing happened. Then I kept my hand in the device for a while and it finally turned on. So I had to put the cable on top of the device and give it some weight to reattach the device. This is a big problem for me as I am constantly reminded

I like this dehumidifier because it's very simple. It appears to use a thermoelectric/peltier device along with heaters to create condensate that drips into a collection tank. It doesn't look like it has a working liquid like Freon or anything to condense, but I could be wrong. Even though you're good at it. I'm sure it would be worth a lot more if that were the case. I use this on one side of my unfinished basement (and another piece of equipment on the other side). During normal operation, a slight blue glow comes from the power button. Until now it fills up every 5 days in summer. A small float valve rises as it fills and is used to sense when the tank is full. When full, the power button turns red and emits a continuous low beep.
