Dehumidifier is pretty good. It should turn itself off when the tank is full. Mine turned itself off and when I checked the tank wasn't even half full. I emptied the tank and put it back in the block and it didn't catch fire. I tried for several minutes and nothing happened. Then I kept my hand in the device for a while and it finally turned on. So I had to put the cable on top of the device and give it some weight to reattach the device. This is a big problem for me as I am constantly reminded of the fact that you have to apply weight from above to turn the device on. Otherwise, it does a good job of removing moisture from the room, which in turn makes the room feel cooler. I've read that it can help with your electric bills, especially in tropical climates like South Florida. I will continue to use it to see if it affects my electric bill.
