Bought to replace 20 year old wiring on my boat trailer. Hooking it up is easy, just attach it to the old cable and run it through the trailer frame. I carefully removed the insulation from the wire and found several strands of thin copper wire inside. Connected to my flashlights and sealed the connection with silicon sealant to prevent contact with salt water. The wires burned out after a trip to the boat! Thought maybe I didn't seal it well and water got in so I put it back together and resealed it with caulk. The wires burned out again after one use! The copper wires in this product appear to be less than 18 ga and are made from poor quality copper. I strongly recommend that you try another brand.
