Works great on my fountain pump!
My fountain pump used to get clogged with algae from sun exposure. I cut a 1/4 inch thick piece of this and trimmed it to fit around the front and two sides of my pump and secured it with a large rubber band at the top and bottom. Now when the algae try to block the front of the pump, the water just bypasses the algae and doesn't slow down. My fountain runs for weeks without cleaning. This is the perfect solution!
