Bought this several months ago due to some ongoing battery issues (CRV, recall, long story). Didn't end up using on it on my own car. However, I did help another driver with their Jeep Grand Cherokee and it worked amazingly.I'll admit I was uncertain about this Genie as a jump starter/battery booster. It's compact, light and simple - toylike almost. The kit fits in my interior spare tire well easily. Plug in the keyed/directional clamp cable, press On, then hit the "Ready/Engine" button, wait for the Ready prompt on the screen.then start the car.In the case of the Jeep mentioned above, the booster took two key turns to successfully start the SUV. I think the booster sensor missed the first start attempt. The Jeep battery was pretty weak initially and barely eliciting an engine response. Immediate second key start attempt and the Grand Cherokee didn't miss a beat. Weather was about 72F, clear for reference.I was left impressed enough to come back and review this product because it deserves it. Be sure to set a reminder and check on the device 1-2 times per year and recharge if necessary. Time will tell how it operates in a midwest winter - but I expect it to do well given my experience so far.
