Dim and flickering - fish and aquatic animals
The connector on the lantern is very delicate and will turn off the light if you just walk past it. After a year of use, it begins to flicker at irregular intervals, which frightens the fish and causes stress. Stress can make sensitive fish ill very easily. The flickering even made my rooster fish jump out of the tank and the poor guy didn't. Not light enough for anything over 8-9 gallons, it was pretty dark on my 10 gallons. Worked well but was too bulky for my 5 gallons. Basically a waste of time and money.
