Worn on a cruise. I walked on hard pavement, sandy beaches, and in water that contained lots of small rocks and shells that weren't comfortable walking barefoot. It was convenient to walk with them on the water, and they stayed on their feet. On a sandy beach, sand accumulated in it, but it was pretty easy to clean. Since they were new I had an issue with a strap on my back chafing a sore on my left leg. I wonder if I tightened the strap and it moved and rubbed against my foot like it only happens with a sandal. I found I could leave the back strap undone when walking on hard pavement and the sandals weren't an issue. It was a great purchase and they did what I wanted. The price seemed reasonable for the quality. Don't make the mistake I made when ordering and remember to choose the right size. At least Revain makes it easy to come back. If you need water sandals for the beach or for cruising, this is the one for you. I have worn them several times in the last 4 months. After they broke I had no more friction issues. They are very comfortable. Unless you intend to wear them in situations where you need to protect your toes, open-toe shoes may be better for you. On sandy beaches, a lot of sand accumulates in the toe area. I can recommend these sandals.
