Review on 🚘 Dorman 265-854: High-Quality Automatic Transmission Oil Pan for Ford/Lincoln Models by John Miller

Product fits 2017 F-150 5L V8 exactly. There are two magnets in the 2017 factory range. I moved both magnets to the new pan. The bottom ring magnet doesn't have a central ridge to accommodate a second magnet, but that wasn't a problem, it stays in place without getting in the way. There are no leaks, the new pan is as strong as the original. I went ahead and replaced the copper washer on the drain plug with a good quality washer. The transmission filter must be carefully aligned during installation or you will have the impression that the pan (or filter) does not fit properly. If you put it on correctly, it fits perfectly. The new palette is exactly the same depth as the old one. According to Revain, this block is not suitable for the 2017 V8. I called the manufacturer to make sure this was the case. Note that this recommendation is for a 6 speed gearbox only - I don't know if it can be used for a 10 speed gearbox.
