Spend your money buy WIX

I used to think all filters were the same but after two problems with three dollar filters I started buying better quality WIX. They are much more expensive and do not come off or leak.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Has flaws

Because WIX! Nuff said

What can I say about Wix that hasn't already been said? This is one of the best filters on the market. Incidentally, I only use this particular filter on my 2017 F250 Super Duty 6.2L. Whenever I can, I always choose WIX.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

WIX works on my cars, great filters

Love the research I've read on WIX, I use WIX on all 3 of my cars with no problems. This filter is for a 1993 Grand Marquis that fits and works great. I use one on a Honda and one on a Toyota. I only use strong magnets as something extra on the outside. These filters proved exceptional and interference-free on all three.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No instructions

Synthetic Fill: Filter

I used them on a 2004 F150 4x4 4.6L V8 (new body style) with a metric thread. This engine has 2 options, this filter is for metric thread version. I've been using Mobile 1 Extended Performance 5W-20 with these filters for several years and have never had a dry start or failure. Remember that the synthetic version of this filter is an XP model only.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Not bad but...

This is a parts

filter installed according to instructions and it is leaking. I've done probably over 200 oil changes in my life and have only had 2 leaking filters, both of which cost more than the brand I've been using for years. I read reviews, watched disassembly videos and figured WIX would be my future oil filter switch. I think I'll just stick with the ones I've been using for years. Suburban 190k, Sequoia 154k, Trailblazer 101k and many more over the years.

Pros
  • leak Best
Cons
  • piggy bank price

In tests, WIX filters proved to be better than those of the competition.

I love watching videos of guys opening auto filters to see what they are made of. You're looking for a solid build, lots of good filter media, a good seal, etc. The WIX seems to match or beat the competition on all these counts, no matter the price range. Good filters last longer and repairs are rarer and cheaper. These filters cost about the same as most good filters, but tests have shown they work better! I've used very expensive filters in the past, they work just as well but at a lowerโ€ฆ

Will not fit 2009-2011 Crown Victoria Interceptor

This is a good filter but will not work on a '09-'11 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor 4.6L. This morning I had a problem with an oil change. This only applies to P71/P7B 2009 and later. Sometime during the 2009 model year, Ford replaced the oil filter adapter to accommodate the updated 09+ P71/P7B oil cooler lines. If you have '09 or newer a stock 4.6 vic oil filter will not fit as the thread area is too large and will simply slide over the adapter threads. I'm not sure why they changed it and

Pros
  • Still Satisfied
Cons
  • Weight

I have always used Fram filters since I started driving in 1987 and after watching a few videos about them in the filter looked at it looks like wix, k&n, fram, ac delco, motorcraft purolator all cut open and showing what the inside looks like, fram has cardboard on a real filter, wix has metal, if you have oil pressure you need cardboard, to keep the oil inside to get to the filter material? or metal? I will never buy Fram oil filters again after watching these couple of videos. In fact, Wixโ€ฆ
