I had a toilet that wants a mountain lion to randomly pin a moose every few hours in the middle of the night. The cartridge sealing failed. This block also comes with a duck nose valve in place of an inlet strainer - I don't need either but kept it as a spare. Tip: Use the handles of large pliers or channel locks to unscrew the old block (without the water), turn the water back on and screw in the new block until the water stops. Reinstall the plunger, handle, whatever you unnecessarily removed and enjoy your now-steady throne.
