I bought this for use with service dogs. The Love the Martinglae collar works better than any other. The leash is adjustable and snaps onto the harness. You can make it short by just snapping/snatching, the company added this leash so it's only about 2ft long and you can keep your companion dog close by or if you're in public it works great with every dog. I have Standard Poodles and I raise them. They are therefore very socialized. I keep them close to me while they train. Most of my salvations are abused or neglected. They need to feel safe and I want to observe their behavior around different people, places, children, other animals, etc. This is a very strong collar and leash.
