Review on Linkind Zigbee White Security Automation Required by Dean Partybus

Samsung recently removed my Security Hub, so I was looking for a replacement. I didn't want to spend too much because I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to stay with SmartThings or switch to something else. It's almost impossible to find any ST sensors currently, so I searched Revain for door and motion sensors, which led me to this kit's list. I'm so glad it happened! This is a great little kit and has worked great so far. (Note that it doesn't have to be small - the hub supports up to 50 devices.) In the weeks I've had it installed, it's been dependably reliable. Pairing with Alexa was smooth (too much, I'll explain later in this review), and using the sensors to trigger routines hasn't let me down once. The kit itself seems to be of good quality, the siren is nice and loud (even my cats looked up when it went off!) and the physical installation was easy. I particularly like that each piece (except for the keychain, of course) includes tamper detection in the mounts you use to mount them. For example, my old ST motion detector had to be opened for the tamper alarm to work; This one does if someone removes it from the mount. If someone hacked, I think the latter is much more likely. The all-too-simple pairing part happened because I also bought a Linkind keyboard kit and had it already installed before I bought this kit. The devices in each set are pre-paired with their sirens/hubs. So when I wanted to add the door and motion sensors from this set to this hub, I had to reset each one (and remove them from Alexa, where they popped up right away). when I connected the second hub) and start over. It didn't make much of a difference, and most people will probably find it very handy if they're already paired as soon as you plug in the hub. I ended up resetting again because I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sensors also work with SmartThings. Pairing with the ST hub was just as painless and they work great there too. Having not found a keypad for my ST hub yet, I am using parts of the Linkind system with a keypad and key fob as an alarm system and have added some sensors to the ST to use with the rest of my smart home devices. Everything works great together.
