These slide clasps are better than clasps as they don't protrude as much. They're a little harder to put on and harder to adjust, but they look a lot prettier and cleaner. The quality is excellent. The black is lacquered and it's not perfect, but for the price you can't complain. When I first used them, I had to bend them open a bit to make them easier to put on. Needed a little more ground clearance.
