I had an 8x7 barn and I believe this guide originated in China and was then translated into English. Several charts are completely turned off in the measurements. I went back to Home Depot several times to buy more 2"x4" when my precuts ran out. I completed the shed a year ago but this shed would have cost about $800 in materials but today the price of lumber is out of control and the amount of unusable lumber is based on their incorrect sizes plus the cedar shavings I use for roofing and siding hardboard , door hardware, nails, screws, etc. This barn costs about $2,600. I love building and have made some mods with windows and gable extensions. I am satisfied with the finished product. I can only emphasize two things. Pay close attention to the instructions in the box and do as I did. (The figures are for 3 different sized sheds. Tick the charts that don't apply to the size you are building) and wait for the lumber price to drop! (2' x 4"8s were $8.86 each. A year ago here in Miami they were $2.38). The photos were taken just before I finished the siding, also I used my own doors instead of T -111 made, they suggested skylights/roof vents
