I already have a portable induction cooker. pale in comparison. The fact is that it is made of plastic (except for the rounded heating surface) and melts with every fat hit. They basically fill every niche where the plastic sheet fails. Firstly, spills or grease splashes are not a problem. 10 temperature settings are ideal for transport. I would like more for my indoor range, but 10 will do the trick and is very common on portable devices. All of the capacitive buttons work well and being capacitive makes them easy to clean. You can wipe the entire top. Do you see a trend? I appreciate uncomplicated and simple products that just work, that's all. Glass or ceramic worktops have their pros and cons. It's a little heavier and a little more fragile. It might not be the best option for camping or hiking, but to me it's worth the simplicity and convenience.
