The wear and tear shown in the attached photos is after almost daily use since late March 2020. I bike to and from work most days (only about 2.5 miles a day). I replaced the standard laces with elastic ones to make the shoes easier to put on. The shoes were consistently very comfortable. I have done several hikes with them and I do not recommend hiking in particularly rocky terrain due to the lightness of the shoe and the thin sole. After the mountainous terrain of southern Arizona, my feet felt pretty rough. However, I did take a little walk around Olympic National Park and they did a great job in that particular area. The tracks are starting to wear off a bit on the heel and ball of the foot. The tread lasted longer than I expected but maybe not as long as I would have liked and paid just over $100 for a sneaker shoe. Have they also squeaked a little more on tiled floors in recent months, perhaps due to tread wear? The skin (mostly over the toes) started to deform, maybe 6 months ago or more, this didn't affect the fit. but of course it doesn't look as pretty as it did at the beginning. I have not polished or cared for the leather other than occasionally wiping with a damp cloth and then drying so proper care can prolong its longevity and preserve its shape/appearance. gloves for your feet. So if you do parkour or other outdoor gymnastics, do urban ninja work, or hunt in the woods, you can appreciate the grip you have everywhere you step.
