However, I bought the matching smaller fruit vases directly on the Mikasa website, they were not offered at Revain. They cost almost twice as much as other larger items but were of much lower quality. The birds on the fruit bowls are a blurry mess compared to a specific image in the rest of the collection (see photo). I contacted their CS and asked for more, hoping I just got a bad batch. After letting me walk around asking for more photos and a few emails, they declined, saying it was "okay due to the reactive glazing method". This is nonsense, otherwise all parts would be blurry and completely different. Unfortunately I will be sending the fruit bowls back. These plates are very heavy! You have to move them back and forth in the dishwasher or they will tip over and hit each other. Not sure how they will hold up as I've only had them for a few weeks. I also love soup bowls! As they are deep and can hold a lot of food. Unlike other collections that have small flat shells. In fact, I chose them mainly for deep bowls. They are well made and I would recommend them to everyone except for the fruit bowls.
