One feature this unit lacks is a humidistat that can be preset to turn it off when the humidity gets high enough. Humidifiers in my bedroom and two of these devices cover the rest of my house. They have a large tank that runs at full capacity, it lasts more than 24 hours before needing to be filled and has a high capacity. I basically leave them halfway through the install. their maximum performance and they can easily maintain humidity up to about 60%. I add a few humidifiers/thermostats throughout the house and adjust the machines daily to keep the humidity high.
