Quality control is terrible but these are the cheapest Halo compatible plain lamp holders out there. We encountered two main issues: reverse polarity in the connectors and over-tightening due to plastic mold residue on the mounts themselves. Both are fairly easy to fix, or you can simply order 10% more than you need and send back the defective units. We decided to refurbish as we did not order enough to complete the project without addressing the imperfections. Still the cheapest lamp holder we've come across and will likely buy again, but ordered extra to make up for any imperfections that will have to be returned. In this case, be careful with Emptor.
