Bought the impact drill for $79 at Farm and Fleet. Thought I was getting a good buy. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the battery charger and batteries were sold separately! Then I found out that my old drill bits don't fit in this impact drill, the chuck on the drill only takes drill bits with a hex shaped base. What turned out to be a great price turned into a significant cost. One other concern is that I am not sure that if I was to buy a Porter Cable cordless saw or other cordless tool, if these batteries will work because the batteries for a base drill are different than for an impact drill. Moral of the story is that you should only buy a Porter impact drill if you need the performance of an impact drill. The final cost is very expensive by the time you add all the ala-carte items that are needed to get the job done. I do trust and respect Porter Cable products but the added power of an impact drill is likely not needed for the average person given the cost.
