This light bar has bright "lights" but doesn't illuminate much of the tank. This is a great addition to your aquarium, but not a very necessary one. It's great for lighting the back of the tank but I'm afraid the light might stress my fish. For this reason I only have one color set and no changing light. I was hoping it would be brighter so I could get rid of the overhead light, but it's just an extra light. Remember to always turn off the lights on the inhalation tank on a schedule so they don't get stressed. Too much light is unnatural for them. Imagine your fish is in a wild pond. The sun rises and sets like clockwork every day. They also depend on breeding cycles and life cycles. I have a timer so I don't have to worry about anything.
