For a very long time I was looking for, picking up, waiting for a compact camera with decent quality. I refused DSLRs due to size and weight. If you just like to carry a camera around and shoot for your own pleasure, and devices with built-in optics no longer meet your requirements for image quality, then Nex is a good choice. Got pros: - in test shots, it surpasses G-series canons, coolpixes, not to mention all sorts of fujas and olympuses, in general, compacts with built-in optics, incl. much more expensive and bulky - cheaper and fewer competitors in its segment (Pen, for example) - REALLY compact (with 16 lens) - subjectively liked the speed (after a year with Olympus sp-320.) - swivel screen - photo quality (climb the settings, delve into it, and everything will work out) - fast work with RAW - good video and sound quality - there is a decent manual focus Got cons: - slow and oblique autofocus (the latest firmware has somewhat improved the situation) - manual use is also inconvenient - apparatus for a woman's hand, i.е. pretty small stuff - ergonomics redesigned for the sake of compactness, unusual control - with the installation of any other lens, the advantage of compactness is lost - creepy screen - a small nasty vacuum cleaner is built into the optics =( - it's not very clear why the minimum iso is 200 - with aperture above 4, it makes noise like a bastard Perhaps the most important drawback of this typewriter: on its screen, the photos look too good.
