My experience with CFLs is that they don't typically last as long as advertised. However, they usually last several months. I bought two packs of these lamps and used one. Burned out in one day. Absolute letdown for this brand. Update, I have replaced the blown bulb with the second one that came with this pack. It took TWO nights. There is nothing wrong with the instrumentation. The previous bulbs lasted a few months and the CFL I just installed (no fault) works perfectly. This is not an accident - 2 blown bulbs.
