So far so good, best in bulbs

I've had them for a year now and they still work. Ideal brightness. Not flashy but lights up most of my garden. I live in the middle of a 1 hectare property. I don't need a light that illuminates the entire area. It's too much light. This is perfect for me.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

As best advertised in Bulbs

They arrived as promised and were well packaged. They are bright. So bright, in fact, that they overwhelm my security lights. Therefore, if you are working near a light-sensing security light, you may find that the light does not illuminate as usual when one of these lights is nearby.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • old

Loved it: Bulbs

I've been waiting to write a review to make sure they last. It's been a few months and they still work fine. I ordered a GE brand which blew up within 24 hours. It doesn't protect against all bugs and moths, but it makes a big difference! I highly recommend it! They easily screw into our porch lights.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Expandable

0 stars! for bulbs

Put them in and after 2 hours they started dimming then flickering and then going out, they burned the full 3 hours before blowing out completely. Can't return them as my husband threw away the box which he thought would only last a few hours. When I think of all the things I could do with the $20 they cost, I get angry.

100W equivalent? I do not think so.

Read a review of these bulbs stating they were the brightest bug light. Not correct! These 23 watt CFL bulbs put out very little light for a 100 watt equivalent bulb! Start slowly too! Very faint and very orange glow, not yellow. Great for Halloween just saying. even attract bugs!

Worth buying these powerful 23w street and safety lights

Surprisingly complex item in the 23w category; 60W equivalents just don't cut in mustard. One arrived broken and was sent back. From the Survivor, the lighting is a bright warm "buggy" yellow-orange, just what I was hoping for. It's a color that's pleasant enough that I keep it through the winter months, but of course it takes some time for this lamp to warm up in colder temperatures, like most outdoor CFLs.

  • Free for educational purposes

Burned out in ONE day.

My experience with CFLs is that they don't typically last as long as advertised. However, they usually last several months. I bought two packs of these lamps and used one. Burned out in one day. Absolute letdown for this brand. Update, I have replaced the blown bulb with the second one that came with this pack. It took TWO nights. There is nothing wrong with the instrumentation. The previous bulbs lasted a few months and the CFL I just installed (no fault) works perfectly. This is not an…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Very bright bulb reliably lights up the room

They are MUCH brighter than 13 watt bulbs. A lamp about ten feet high on the roof of the back porch. Once the light is on for a few minutes, the entire back porch, about 10 feet by 15 feet, is well lit. I also bought a 23w green light for one of our porch lights, and a much brighter light than the previous 13w bulb. We're using a green lightbulb as a tribute to the veterans, and now it's visible, while the 13-watt lightbulb wasn't visible. I expect this to last a long time. I always write the…
