I wanted really loud, not smart (I don't want more people getting more of my data through apps), not expensive and something that wouldn't require charging batteries. After much searching, I could not find an option that would fit this description. However, I was able to convert this to AAA battery using a Leninka power supply, replacing 2 AAA batteries to make it wired. So I can plug it in and not have to change batteries. The total cost is around $25 at the time of writing. This device is loud. To give you an idea, this is what I hear from my HVAC closet, with the closet door closed, the AC on, and in the next bedroom, also with the bedroom door closed. Turning off the alarm is easy, pull it out of the water or press the button. It has a seal that seals the battery compartment. The adapter I'm using has a very small band that will obviously break the seal a bit, but I cut it off on purpose and didn't damage the device.
