I love this thing. It's a little smoother than I expected based on the reviews. Unlike the store-bought cane umbrellas I've bought at similar prices, this isn't a straight line to slide the locking mechanism from the down closed position to the up locked open position. It's a bit of a shaky process for me and I really need to focus to keep it straight and not become a chore. i live in florida Everything rusts here. The handle I think should be real leather? I didn't have the heart to remove the protective plastic cover because I don't want to ruin it! But the handle is also much thinner than the umbrella sticks I bought from the store and not very suitable in terms of weight. real because i really need it to walk the dog!
