My son loves these shoes. I thought zips and laces would be a great option - the boy gets laces which he thinks are so cool and mom and dad get the option to just zip and unzip instead of loosening, tightening and tying the laces. It's not working as well as I thought it would. At first not at all. But since they're shrunk, the zippers are enough for zipping up and down. It's too hard to put your foot in by yourself since they're big, but since he only wears them to church it's not too much of a hassle.
