I bought this unit to share a printer between my two computers. One runs Windows XP and the other Vista Home Premium. Setup was easy and the printer works great. Switching is automatic, so I can even "hideβ the switch. Why am I only giving this device one star? Easy. After spending over two weeks trying to figure out why my XP machine is no longer recognizing my digital cameras or flash drives, I traced the problem to this switch. Removing this switch from my system returned everything to normal. Yes, you can use one USB device for two PCs. However, what's going on in this thing causes hardware conflicts. Needless to say I am looking for another brand of switch and am throwing this thing in the trash. Proceed with caution as this switch can cause more problems than it solves. I see J. Muntz also reviewed this product and it seems to have the same problem. This may not be a universal problem, but I'm obviously not the only one running into the problem.
