Review on Zalman Z3 M ATX πŸ’» Tower Computer: A Compact and Powerful Machine by Jnis Kokins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

Bought 1 backlit fan. My components are quite hot: FX-8300 (95W nominal, I don’t know how much overclocking) and RX 480 (150W). Previously, the system worked only in an open case, and even then with temperatures, at best, average. Overheating occurred intermittently. Now the components have cooled down a lot: the CPU has slowed down by as much as 20 degrees (however, during the transplant, it had a thermal interface replaced), the video card is completely lazy and does not spin its fans above 40%. Those. the main goal of purchasing this case was achieved: the cooling works perfectly. At the same time, I would characterize the noise as small (objectively - medium))). Now about the nuances: a well-thought-out cable management did not work out - I didn’t really try and the case is still not so big. The metal is processed very high quality - nowhere was there a hint that you could cut yourself. There are more complaints about the plastic: the "studs" for attaching the front panel are made to "unhook" - as a result, removing it without breaking it is a rather difficult task. There is a rod in the middle of the case for attaching additional internal fans and supporting large video cards. So I just decided to take advantage of this opportunity, but it turned out that the "foot" is very thick - it did not fit between the board and the cooling system of the video card - as a result, it had to be literally "finished with a file" - thinned. I didn’t like the fastening of 5.25 "devices - the latches do not close well. Before installation, I broke off the plugs for the video card - and miscalculated - the 2x video card for my motherboard is not at the very top - but one slot lower. The legs turned out to be slightly different heights - on the table the case wobbled, but when I put it in place - on a softer surface - it stopped. No vibrations or echoes, including those from the 7200rpm propeller, were noticed. And about the appearance: I thought it would look more interesting, but it will do and so I. E. take my 5 points as: "excellent" for the money, and 4 with a plus (maybe ++) in absolute terms.
