These did what I needed. They don't fit well on the feather and I was constantly afraid that one of them would fly off and kill me or make a hole in the wall. Buy them if you have good health insurance, otherwise spend a few bucks more and get MacPherson strut spring compressors that have the locking pin built into the clips where they attach to the spring. The ONLY reason I'm not returning them is because I successfully completed my job with them (and luckily didn't die!)
