Factory wiring wrong Check brakes!
I installed a new brake controller. Driven me crazy trying to figure out why my electric brakes weren't working. I spent over an hour troubleshooting to find the blue and black wires in this new connector out of the box. Luckily it's supposed to be disassembled and I was able to fix it with a screwdriver. God I was mad at all the time I wasted trying to figure this out and fix it. Hope this helps someone. I suppose it could have been a disaster if the person hadn't checked the electric brakes and just driven away. Also, the brake lights worked and came on.
