I got this from Vine. I saw them in person and found them interesting. The gloves are made of full silicone, so they are a bit thicker than normal dishwashing gloves and bulkier. It's a bit difficult for me to put them on my hands, but I have wide, big hands. There are small grooves on the inside which I think help the gloves fit the person wearing them as they are one size fits all. At work I often put cornstarch powder on my hands before putting on gloves and I wonder if that makes the gloves any lighter. Gloves worked like a dream on plates, plates, mugs, large cups, slightly dirty dishes. I don't qualify them as "cleaning mitts" for really dirty pots/pans. DO NOT USE DETERGENT WITH BLEACH! My Visionware pot always needs to be cleaned with a scratch pad and either powder detergent or liquid detergent. I made the mistake of wearing liquid/gel detergent, these gloves and a navy blue t-shirt. I never imagined that glove bristles would create such spatter when in use. Of course, my navy blue T-shirt is now a faded work shirt. It was very disappointing. I think that the individual concept of "cleaning" will largely determine the use of the gloves. I can see how awesome it would be to get the kids to do the dishes and I have to admit I'm happy to just wear them and see the bristles sway as I move my arms. Pics 2 and 3 show my son's hand versus the gloves, and pics 4 and 5 show my hand. I wonder how the gloves will dry if water gets inside. I simply turn my regular dishwashing mitts inside out to dry and then flip them over to use. It's almost impossible with these thick-bristled gloves. I think washing with clean soapy water is the way to keep them clean, which is what I do with my regular gloves. Overall I'd say get a pair for basic dishwashing, especially if you have younger kids. I haven't used them to clean fruit or veg yet, but since I use a cleaner with them I can avoid that. motor skills or sensory integration therapy. I wish they were available when my son was in both of these programs because I think he would love to use them - they're fun to just wear. I wonder if there will be a market for children's gloves. I think kids will find them funny and it can help any parent trying to get their kid to (sigh!) do housework. Update: The gloves lasted less than a month. I broke my son's favorite mug from not holding it well (resulting in a Christmas present for him) and it looks like the fork slipped through my finger. I didn't feel anything, but since the glove was so big, it's no wonder I didn't feel anything go inside the glove. I thought about gluing it but decided it was useless. One star removed.
