Trust me you will need spirit to clean this bottle! I use 151 rum to soften the harshness of production liquids. I keep 151 in a bottle for about four days, every day I shake it vigorously to dissolve the oils and anything that went into making that bottle. After the fourth day, I fill the bottle with vinegar and water, 50/50 if you like, and keep it there for another four days, shaking and such. This will clean and condition the bottle with 151. After those four days, he's ready for whatever you want. I use mine for water and boy I'm telling you it's clean and fresh! Just follow or approach the directions I have given you and I promise you will not be disappointed.
