True to online color, easy to use, quick drying, cost-effective

Wow! I love it. I am new to using stain indoors. Outdoor stain smells awful and gives me pretty much an instant headache. This stuff is completely odorless. Like maybe theres a very light paint smell if you really put your face in it but honestly, there's no residual fumes and I stained my window frame in my basement. It's very watery, so be careful getting it out on your sponge! I used a regular house cleaning sponge and found it easiest to pour a little out on a news paper or little container and then dip my sponge. I also thought it was easier to put a bit more onto the surface and then rub it in smoothly and wipe away the excess, than to use a little bit and go a small surface at a time. I did two pieces of the frame to compare, and the results were the same but the first way is obviously faster. It of course dries a little bit lighter than when it's wet. My color was very true to the picture. I can still see the wood grain underneath ( I did pick a light color to match the rest of the house) and it gives it a more enhanced but still natural look. I was able to stain a window frame 4ftx 6ft with about a 5th of the 12 oz bottle.Overall, if you're a beginner like me and are looking for something user-friendly and not time consuming, for a reasonable price, look no further :)

Pros
  • I love the color, clean up is super easy. The bottle is way too big for smaller projects.
Cons
  • May cause wood grain to become less visible
