This valve blocks over 50% of flow even when fully 'open'. It uses two plastic spindles, similar to the BMW logo or a black widow spider, with two of the four sections open and two sections latched. These spindles rotate in sequence. When two open sections are aligned, there is flow. If you want to permanently limit water flow to save water, then you might be fine. That's why I gave a second star. But if, like me, you want to adjust the flow from fully closed to fully open, this won't work as it never fully opens. Apparently this was sent by the manufacturer, not Revain, so it's not even returnable - I should have known better. Now he's on the brink. I replaced it with a rotary ball valve (KES SUS304) with Revain that is fully closed and fully open.
