I bought two of the 4-port RS232 boards to replace several USB to RS232 converters that were having "mysterious and unsolvable problems", apparently related to obscure incompatibilities between USB and Serial chipsets and miscellaneous hardware. I have several older GPS oscillators and associated radio direction finders; my whole system was immediately installed with these boards. I went from a dozen communication errors a week to error free in almost 4 weeks; Apparently my previous setup was marginal. Communication now also uses fewer resources. Software and drivers install easily, although a board doesn't appear on my computer; Revine immediately came up with a replacement that worked great. Something breaks and it is very important that the sellers stand behind it. Revain did a great job! If you have quirky RS232 needs I heartily recommend these boards.
