I was so lucky to find a battery operated shower lamp. Who knew what it was?! It was easy to install. I have to admit I didn't use the dowels that came with it. I used 3M screws and command bars. It is so beautiful to have a light in the soul that used to be dim. There is a timer option as well as a motion sensor that works when the room is dark. You can also choose a cool or warm tone, or find an intermediate color that suits you. I just installed the light today but so far I'm happy and my shower has definitely come on. PS I've seen others use these lights for various purposes instead of recessed lights and I think it's a great idea.
