Quality Control - Manifold

I liked the look of the manifold and the workmanship was great. I was excited to install it. However when I installed it I thought it was a little different than where the old goggles came from but I just thought maybe the electronic ones are set up that way. I installed it well, connected all the cables and completely updated my Dodge 413-1 industrial engine. The only problem was. I couldn't get it in time. I played around with it for over two months. I went through all the electronic parts that I replaced. I went back to the starter relay, starter, ECU wiring, resistor, new Accel connector wires I made. I was convinced that one of them got dirty and prevented the big engine from running. I tried my best to get it in time, but the closest I got was pushing it to full extension (it stopped spinning because the vacuum feed was against the water pump). It started but ran like crap. It had to be pressed a little harder, but it didn't work. I even called ProForm and spoke to the guy in the "engineering department". I asked him if the distributor was designed for an industrial 413 motor (it has gears instead of a chain) and he was amazed. He didn't have any answers for me, didn't know that Chrysler/Dodge made 413s, and didn't know the difference between a 413 and an industrial 413. So tonight I took everything back out and found that with the rotor in the #1 connector position, the ipsitin markings on the reluctor didn't line up with the pickup. It was a shovel. So since I couldn't adjust it without taking it apart, I knew I screwed up. It can never be calculated in such a state. Since it took me so long to notice this my 30 day return has expired. I will eat the cost of it. I had high hopes for this setup but I should know better. I'm not sure I would try another ProForm product, I really liked it but I'm afraid to roll the dice again.
