The product is as described, I pressed the learn button on the garage door opener (although I should note that mine is not purple, which bothered me ) and almost immediately after pressing the A button, the connection was established. I haven't tested long distances, but it works well outside of normal suburban lanes. Both look very nice and are even smaller than my own car key. No regret. It even has a lid that covers the buttons to prevent accidental presses when it's in your pocket. It's plastic, but for $9 and some clicker changes, it's worth it.
