So we got this to use with our border collie/lab to put in the kennel outside with her when it gets cooler at night and it worked fine one night but then ours did dog destroys it. It warmed up easily and well enough in the microwave and she seemed to like it and she petted it one evening when she used it, but then when morning came and it was no longer needed she started playing with it and finally broke it. . She started chewing on it so we had to pick it up and throw it away so we wouldn't have a problem hurting ourselves with it or anything. So if you have a dog, cat, or pet that doesn't try to chew and destroy, this works great.
