Review on Hyde Tools 18 Inch Acrylic Knockdown by Richard Ahmar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally the right way to reduce texture!

For years I struggled with patching and texturing drywall with expensive hardware store spray cans that never quite got the look I wanted. After buying a new house that needed a drywall repair I decided to buy a thirty dollar bunker gun on port charters and this knife is harder to find. After a few tries I was hooked. I was missing that in my technique. Thinned caulk sprayed onto the wall and then chipped off five minutes later was the result I was looking for. A tip: when laying, the grout sucks the moisture out of the fresh material from above, where it looks as if a painted surface is nearby. (You've repaired a corner, for example), the two surfaces dry at different rates, ruining the disassembly process. This is easily remedied by simply priming the entire surface you are applying the texture to. It's worth the extra step.
