I have a pair of flats that I wear without socks and they can smell a bit. The last few weeks here have been very rainy days, so it wasn't easy to find a sunny hour! I left them on my porch for an hour late in the afternoon and then brought them in and put them in a pair of shoes for the night. Didn't notice much of a difference the next day - still quite smelly. But after about a week the smell was almost gone. I wish they were faster but I'm happy with the results.
