I had some doubts that it would work and at first thought my doubts were confirmed. Until I realized that it takes an hour of direct sunlight to activate it, and after that initial activation, the same process needs to be repeated about every month. After that it really got rid of the damp smell in a few boxes, it also works wonders in shoes. It doesn't work very well in large spaces like a closet, but I'd say it still manages to remove some of the smell.

I have a pair of flats that I wear without socks and they can smell a bit. The last few weeks here have been very rainy days, so it wasn't easy to find a sunny hour! I left them on my porch for an hour late in the afternoon and then brought them in and put them in a pair of shoes for the night. Didn't notice much of a difference the next day - still quite smelly. But after about a week the smell was almost gone. I wish they were faster but I'm happy with the results.

I believe bamboo charcoal eliminates odors. I think I was hoping that they would eliminate the mysterious smell that suddenly appeared in the car. We cleaned the carpet twice. We used baking soda. We even resorted to a spray to eliminate the odor from the air. Everything helped, but not entirely. Coal was my last hope. This also helped, but the underlying smell is still there. I think it will go away with time and I think the bamboo charcoal helps. I think I was hoping for a clearer ending.

I have been using these products for about a week now. I put them in my shoes when I come home from work after a 12 hour day and they don't smell the next day! I couldn't believe it. The product came in beautiful packaging. Each bag is well made and I love that they have loops on the ends so I can hang them up when not in use. I have to say I don't smell a huge difference in the smell of my shoes, to be honest they smell exactly the same so I don't know if I can say this product eliminates any odors. The charcoal itself doesn't really smell, so I can't leave any stars for the scent part, there aren't any. Note: They've been wearing the same pair of shoes for two weeks…
