I bought this high voltage RGB LED kit to use as an accent color on my living room ceiling. Gives the room a GREAT movie night vibe! They can either be plugged in using the supplied two-pin plug, or you can cut and plug in directly. Be careful when connecting directly and turn off the switch. My first LED strip had a dead pixel at the beginning of the strip. The red LED is defective. I submitted proof to Brillihood's support team and they promptly sent a replacement strip. Of course, they stand behind their products and take care of you should a problem arise. The supplied LED controller is RF only which means you will need to use the supplied remote control to change colour/dimming etc. The remote seems cheap and I'm concerned it will last a while. With my 12ft tall controller tucked away in a corner, changing colors is difficult. I also went ahead and bought a high voltage Wi-Fi LED controller from "superlightingLED". This controller is fully compatible with these strips and I can change color and dim with my phone. They aren't individually addressable LEDs, but given the distance limitation to the low-voltage strips, this seemed like a good compromise.
