Great lightweight ice ax

Great ax for alpine hiking. This ax is exactly the same as the longer and heavier axes, but the shaft is shorter. I wouldn't consider this for a multi-day expedition, but I don't use it for that. If I were more experienced and knew better what to use it for I would choose the CAMP Corsa Nanotech Ax 50 ice ax as it's really only good insurance on a few slopes on the types of hikes I do where most are on lying in soft snow. where you don't necessarily have to stop to stop your slide. The lighter the gear, the less doubt I'll clip it out of my pack. However, you know your area. The Camp Corsa Nanotech has been observed to be harder to kick in ice due to its light weight, but as I rarely need to kick I would spend the extra money on this ax and enjoy the weight savings. be thrown depending on the terrain. Want a big ax that's a little heavier, a handbag that's a little heavier, and the ability to slice footsteps across an icy surface? This is the ax for you. If you can't imagine using an ax for more than occasional insurance against a nasty slip, and don't mind paying a little more for a 3 ounce, then head to camp.
